Der Titel des Raumprojekts ist gleichzeitig der Ausgangspunkt sowie auch der Liedtext der Soundkomposition von Stephan Gro\u00df. „Lift me up \/ sink or swim“ ist ein Kanon, ein Auf und Ab dieser Phrase, die sich wie eine lyrische Paraphrase mit dem Assoziationsf\u00e4cher von alten Weisheiten, moralischen Vorstellungen von Gut und B\u00f6se bis zur unausgesprochenen Forderung des heutigen gesellschaftlichen Raums auseinandersetzt.<\/p>\n
Die verschiedenen Gesangsspuren werden im Loop \u00fcber vier Lautsprecher wiedergegeben, die symmetrisch an den W\u00e4nden verteilt sind. Leichte Variationen und Harmonieverschiebungen erzeugen ein Klangbild, das beruhigend wie auch beschw\u00f6rend bittend klingt. Das Gebet ist von einer Notsituation nicht so weit entfernt.<\/p>\n
Stephan Gro\u00df arbeitet haupts\u00e4chlich mit Licht und Ton und spricht diametrale Emotionen an.<\/p>\n
